Description
The Global Peering Forum (GPF) was founded in 2003 with the aim of creating a neutral platform for Internet Service Providers (ISPs), network operators, and content providers to collaborate and establish peering relationships. Its founders envisioned an event that would foster direct interconnections, allowing smaller regional ISPs to connect with larger global networks and improve internet traffic flow. The first GPF was a unique, non-commercial gathering that focused on promoting open dialogue and cooperation in the rapidly expanding internet infrastructure sector.
